About The White Paper Poetry Project
Welcome.
If you’ve landed here, you’re probably tired. Not just physically — but soul-tired. The kind of tired that comes from carrying too much, performing too hard, and forgetting who you were before your title started speaking for you.
I know that tired. I lived it.
For years, I built and became the machinery of corporate life — operations, culture, compliance, structure, brand, security, meetingsuponmeetings (uponmeetings). I lived fluent in the gospel of grind, believing worth was something earned through output.
Until God interrupted my hustle and invited me toward the ancient path of Jeremiah 6:16: “Stand at the crossroads… ask for the ancient paths… and find rest for your soul.”
That verse became both a dismantling and a promise. A command and a comfort. A crossroads and a confident expectation — unadulterated hope.
That sacred interruption inspires The White Paper Poetry Project. It includes the stories of how God pulled me out of a counterfeit identity and set my feet back on the ancient path where rest is holy, purpose is reclaimed, and calling is given — not earned.
Here, I hope to write about:
- the systems I once built
- the illusions I believed
- the identity I lost
- and the Savior who handed it back to me
- …anything else that pours from my pen
These essays are both confession and testimony. Both critique and invitation.
Both white paper and worship.
For every high-capacity human who has been praised for their strength but is quietly breaking… this is for you.
If you’re standing at your own crossroads, Jesus is already there — inviting you to the good way, the ancient way, the way of rest and restoration. It is, indeed, the narrow path.
There is hope here.
There is freedom here.
And the white papers here?
They breathe because He breathed life back into me.
The White Paper Poetry Project begins with Corporatology - where corporate realism meets creative confession. It’s where I consider the systems I once served and strip them back to how I now see their truth — the cost, the symptoms, the soul-work, and the way out.
It’s poetry for the weary.
Essays for the overachieving.
Field notes for high-capacity humans who love excellence but refuse to lose themselves to it.
Here, structure meets soul. Honesty meets healing. Work meets worthiness. And exhaustion finds its antidote.
If you're ready to reclaim your identity, rebuild your purpose, and breathe again — you’re in the right place.
Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Psalm 119:5
Faith Statement
I believe the Bible is the absolute truth and necessary for this human life.
Psalm 116 grips my heart: the God who hears, rescues, and restores came to find whole-filthy-mess me. Jesus saved me many years ago — long before I stepped into the corporate world — and the power of a changed life is the most unmistakable evidence of His mercy. One day, I’ll share the full story, but for now I’ll say He pulled me right out of the pit, steadied me, and continues to lead me into rest and restoration. Everything I write begins from that foundation.
About the Author
Hi, hello! 👋🏼 I’m Jenika.
I spent years running at full capacity - actually, I just am high-capacity. Oddly, I'm a high-capacity introvert. I lead, fix, carry, push through — and somewhere along the way, I forgot who I was outside of the grind. But the truth is, Jesus rescued me long before I ever stepped foot into The System. He pulled me out of a pit years ago, saved my marriage, steadied my life, and has never once let me down.
Outside of work, I’m gritty, funny, a little weird, and deeply rooted in family. I love Jesus and can't believe His tremendous kindness towards me. This blog is His kindness and mercy - sheesh, the mercy. I also enjoy reading, writing, working out, having real convos, and spending time with my people. Family is paramount. I love to get with my sister to plan a party with delicious food, find and give the perfect gift, laugh so loud that I nearly pee (where my girls at?!), and say the off-color thing that most of us are thinking. I love big and fully, and I'm a sucker for the principle of the matter - I will die in that ditch if my husband doesn't come drag me out of it. Our home is a space of peace, welcome, and godliness — the life my husband & I tend with intention.
In this season, I write for high-capacity, high-functioning people who are secretly exhausted. The ones carrying too much. The ones who can’t remember the last time their shoulders dropped. The ones who think their worth is tied to their title, paycheck, or the to-do list, or the expectations of other people.
I’ve been there. I still understand it.
And I’m here to say: you can breathe. You’re not alone.
There’s another way.
I write because God can take any fricking mess and turn it into something beautiful. He literally gives beauty for ashes. I write because He did that in me. And I write because I want to see captives set free — in life, in faith, and yes, even in business.
I believe there’s a fresh, Kingdom-centered way to lead, work, and live.
It breaks the mold.
It unmasks the weary.
It sets people back on the ancient path of rest and restoration.
That’s the work I’m here to do.
